New U.S. Travel Warning for Cuba

On September 29 the U.S. Department of State issued a statement warning U.S. citizens not to travel to Cuba until further notice. Even though travel to Cuba is not illegal under the proper authorized categories of travel, the US ordered the withdrawal of most non emergency U.S. government employees and their families for their safety. The safety of our group leaders and students is of utmost importance to us. We would never put our groups in danger. Even though no American tourist has suffered from any sonic-type illness experienced by some US and Canadian diplomats, we are advising all of our booked Cuba trips to consider Costa Rica or another of our destinations. Costa Rica is one of the safest and most peaceful countries in the western hemisphere.
