DAY 1: PANAMÁ CITY

Arrive in Panamá and meet your tour director and staff. Depart for Panamá City. Explore “Casco Antiguo” and learn about Panamá’s history.

DAY 2: PANAMÁ CITY

Serve in a local soup kitchen preparing lunch outdoors then participating in distribution and food outreach. In the afternoon hike scenic Cerro Ancón. Head back to the hotel to get ready for dinner and dancing. Enjoy a dance lesson by a local academy outdoors before heading to dinner.

DAY 3: EMBERÁ VILLAGE/ PANAMÁ CANAL

Depart for Río Gatú to visit the Emberá village. Ride down the river in canoes with indigenous “boteros.” Learn about their language, dance and culture. Help rebuild traditional homes. After lunch,  drive to the Panamá Canal.  Spend time learning about the Miraflores, one of the three locks that form part of the Panamá Canal. Take the train back to Panamá City. Spend the evening exploring Panamá City.

DAY 4: PANAMÁ CITY

Walk the Cinta Costera spanning Panamá City’s old and new districts. Visit a local fish market for some fresh caught lunch. Spend a little time exploring and shopping. In the evening visit a local Panamanian home and participate in an outdoor cooking lesson. Learn how to prepare local favorite dishes then enjoy dinner with the family.

DAY 5: PANAMÁ CITY

Enjoy one last walk through the city streets! Head to Casco Antiguo for a tour of the presidential palace and some last minute shopping before heading to the airport. Hasta luego Panamá!
