Accessibility – Are Your Tours Accessible For Handicapped Travelers?
Vamonos does not discriminate on any basis. Unfortunately, some locations in Puerto Rico are not handicap accessible. It is difficult to maneuver a wheelchair on some areas such as the rainforest. Moreover, coach buses are not usually equipped with lifts. However, we will try to accommodate as best as possible the needs of handicapped travelers.
Food Allergies And Restrictions – One Of My Students Has Special Dietary Requirements, How Will He/ She Be Accommodated?

Cell Phones – Can I Use My Cell Phone While On My Trip?
Your cell phone will work in Puerto Rico (no roaming or long distance) except for a few companies such as Verizon. Contact your provider to confirm if any roaming charges apply.
Customize Itinerary – Can We Customize Our Tour, Add Or Subtract Any Excursions, Or Extend Our Time In A Particular City After We Have Our Quotes?
Yes, but we may need to reissue you another quote as these changes might affect the tour price.
Donations – What Can Our Group Donate To Our Service Location?

Final Tour Price – When Will Our Group Receive Its Final Tour Price?
When all participants have enrolled and paid their first deposit, we will reserve your flights and issue your final quote. Please note that any change in the number of travelers, itinerary activities, or airfare changes may affect your quote. Please see our terms and conditions for more information.
Flight Information – When Will Our Flight Information Appear On Our Group Page?
Flight information will appear on your group page approximately 6 weeks prior to departure. We do not publish it sooner as flight changes may occur before then.
Liability Waivers – What Waivers Do We Need To Sign?
You will need to fill out a liability waiver if your itinerary includes the following activities:
- Zipline adventure
- Snorkeling adventure
Your group page has links to the appropriate forms. Please have all travelers sign them. Feel free to bring the forms with you and hand them to your Tour Director. You may also send them to us via email or mail as well.
Life Jackets – Will There Be Life Jackets Available On The Boat?
Yes, life jackets are available on both our Parguera boat excursion and on our catamaran adventure day. All travelers must wear a life jacket to swim in the bioluminescent bay at night in La Parguera.
Passports – Do We Need To Bring Passports?
If you are a U.S. citizen, you do NOT need a passport to Puerto Rico since it is a commonwealth of the U.S. Travelers 18 and over need to bring an official state issued photo ID or driver’s license. Travelers under 18 may bring any photo ID.

Rooming – Adults – How Many Adults Do I Assign Per Room?
Adults are assigned 2 per room (each room has 2 double beds) and there is no extra charge for this. If one of your adult travelers requires a single room, they should request it in an email sent to esther@vamonostours.com. There is an extra charge for a single room.
Rooming – Students Per Room – How Many Students Do I Assign Per Room?
Our quotes are based on 3 to 4 students per room. Each room has two double beds, so students may have to share beds. Whereas possible, we will request three beds per room and/or a cot.
Snorkeling Gear – Our Group Has Opted For A Snorkeling Excursion, Is The Gear Needed Included?
Yes, all snorkeling gear is provided (mask, snorkel, and fins)
Tips – How Much Should We Tip Our Driver And Tour Guides?
$3 per traveler per day for Tour Director, $1.50 per traveler per day for Assistant Tour Director; $1 per traveler per day for Driver. This is often paid at the end of the tour but could be prepaid during the signup/quoting process too.
Water Quality – Is The Water Safe To Drink In Puerto Rico?
Puerto Rico has the same water standards as the U.S. We do provide filtered water for all students while we are on the tour.

Hotel Security – Is There Security Provided At The Hotels?
Our partner hotels have full-time staff all hours of the day and nighttime security as well. At bedtime, a member of our Vamonos staff patrols the hallways for about 1-2 hours to make sure all students are settled in their rooms. All-night hall monitors are available upon request at an additional tour cost fee per person.
Checked Luggage – Is Checked Luggage Included In The Tour Cost? How Do I Pay For This?
Checked luggage fees are not included in the tour cost. If you and/or a member of your group are going to check luggage, this must be paid at the time of check in at the airport: 1 Checked suitcase (most airlines charge $25 one-way fee; checked bag not to exceed 50 lbs.)
